of Use
These Terms govern the METO social networking app, which is planned, developed, and operated by Matsukawa Yushiro (“we”). METO is distributed on the App Store through the Apple Developer account held in the name of Morihara Sosuke.
1. Agreement and age
By using METO, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live requires parental consent, you must obtain it.
2. Your account
Provide accurate information and protect access to your device and account. You may not transfer, sell, or lend your account or impersonate another person. To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for activity conducted through your account.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you post and represent that you have the rights needed to share it. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license only to the extent necessary to operate METO, show content to your connections, host, store, distribute, protect, and technically improve the service.
This license ends when the content or your account is deleted, except for copies awaiting routine backup rotation, records that must be retained by law, or copies another user has already lawfully saved or shared. We do not use posts or messages to train generative AI models or create advertising without separate, clear consent.
4. Prohibited conduct
You may not use METO for unlawful conduct, threats, harassment, hate, child sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, impersonation, exposure of private information, fraud, spam, infringement, unauthorized access, reverse engineering, bypassing authentication or safety features, or interfering with the service. 5. Reports, blocks, and enforcement
You can report users, posts, and comments and block users. Based on severity, harm, intent, and repeated violations, we may remove content, restrict features, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local police or emergency services.
6. Meto+ (auto-renewable subscriptions)
Meto+ is offered as monthly and annual subscriptions. Available features, price, and duration are shown on the purchase screen and may vary by country or region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple will provide any notice required for a price change through its applicable process.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device Settings after purchase. Deleting your METO account does not cancel your subscription. You can restore purchases from within the app. Refunds, billing, and cancellation are governed by Apple's terms and processes. These Terms do not limit rights available under applicable consumer law or Apple's processes.
7. Service changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of METO when reasonably necessary for maintenance, safety, legal compliance, service improvement, or operations. Except in an emergency, we will give advance notice where reasonably possible if a change materially affects users. Material reduction or termination of paid features does not affect rights available under applicable law or Apple's processes.
8. Scope of warranties
METO is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, correction of every defect, or complete security. This section does not exclude any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Limitation of liability
Except for loss caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and only to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from METO. Mandatory consumer protection or other law applies whenever it does not permit an exclusion or limitation of liability.
10. Ending or suspending an account
You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary because of a serious or repeated violation, a specific safety risk, abuse, or a legal obligation. Where possible, we will explain the reason.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. This does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection rights in the place where you live. To the extent permitted by law, disputes relating to METO are subject to the exclusive first-instance jurisdiction of the competent courts of Japan.
12. Changes, language, and contact
We will publish changes here. Except in an emergency, if a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice before it takes effect through the app or another appropriate method. If the Japanese version and a translation conflict, the Japanese version controls to the extent permitted by law.
